In 1900, the Zeppelin airship began its first test flight under the aeronautical leadership of Earl von Zeppelin.  Inspired by this event, Diplomat went on to design a writing instrument channelling the Zeppelin legacy and introduced the AERO pen to the world.

The Aero features curved lines and a torpedo-shaped body made of anodized aluminium.  The characteristic groove-like depressions on the barrel and cap lends the pen to a modern spirit in a classic form.  The clip harmonises well with the shape of the pen.

The Diplomat Aero features a sculpted anodized aluminium body with smooth, grooved lines inspired by the legendary Zeppelin airships of 1920s – 1930s.

Diplomat drew on its manufacturing prowess to create an industrial design with vintage style.  The recessions in the barrel reduce the overall weight of the pen whilst allowing it to keep its wide-bodied size.
